Why bother to learn to type?

After all you can type quickly using 2 fingers already… can’t you?

The answer is simple. First have a look at this short video clip I prepared to help you.

Then let’s have a look at your current typing skills. You can download our free KAZ Typing Test here.

Select ‘adults phrases’, ‘all keys’ and then select paragraphs. Now type up three paragraphs and exit. Make an note here of your average typing speed and accuracy.

Now this may surprise you, but did you know that most people just measure their typing speed and think they are quick. But logically, this is all about ‘time’ as opposed to ‘speed’. It's not so much how fast you can type letters, it’s about how long it takes you overall to type something.

And for that you also need to factor in your typing accuracy. Chances are if you are a 2 finger typist, you will make plenty of mistakes. Each time you do, you have to pause and the go back and correct. All adding to the overall time it takes you to complete the typing.

So purely on an average level, we would expect a competent touch typist to achieve around 60 words per minute with 98% accuracy.

Factor back the errors and you will get a net speed of around 58 words per minute.

Now compare that with your current typing skills and you will begin to see how this can make such a difference for you. And it’s not just the time and frustration you will save.

We haven’t even talk about the ‘joy’ of being able to type quickly and accurately without having to keep looking up and down at the keyboard. We call it think typing®. It’s just like thinking your words straight onto the screen.

Now all you have to do is find the fastest and easiest way to learn, and that’s where KAZ comes in. Go to the home page to find out more.
